Annual Scholarships

A one-time scholarship is an option that can be selected when a sponsor prefers to offer a scholarship through the IFMA Foundation without committing to the level of contributions required in establishing an endowed scholarship fund. The minimum amount required to award a one-time scholarship is $1,500 (US) as well as the costs associated with sending the recipient to IFMA’s World Workplace (approximately $1,100).  The opportunities and requirements associated with sponsoring a one-time scholarship are as follows:

  • The sponsor will determine the name of the scholarship.
  • The IFMA Foundation will invoice the sponsor for the scholarship amount prior to WWP.
  • Sponsors also pay World Workplace registration and travel expenses of approximately $1,100.

All scholarship sponsors and recipients receive appropriate recognition in IFMA publications, the IFMA Foundation web site and through press releases to the general media and trade press. Scholarship sponsors become part of the overall program by participating in the application review, scholarship recipient selection process and the scholarship awards program at WWP.

Established in 1990 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, the IFMA Foundation works for the public good to promote research and educational opportunities for the advancement of facility management. The IFMA Foundation is supported by the generosity of the facility management community, including IFMA members, chapters, councils, corporate sponsors and private contributors who are united by the belief that education and research improve the facility management profession.
