January 4, 2012 - Jeffrey J. Tafel Named IFMA Foundation Executive Director

Jeffrey J. Tafel, CAE, has been named the new executive director of the IFMA Foundation, a Houston-based nonprofit organization promoting education and research in the facility management profession.

In his new role, Tafel will manage all aspects of the IFMA Foundation's daily operations, working directly with the foundation's board of trustees to design and execute fundraising, marketing and program plans.

October 5, 2011 - IFMA Foundation to Award US$100,000 in Scholarships at World Workplace in Phoenix

The IFMA Foundation will present US$100,000 in scholarships to 36 students pursuing degrees in facility management and related fields during the World Workplace 2011 Conference & Expo, held Oct. 26-28 in Phoenix, Ariz.

The IFMA Foundation works for the public good to promote priority research and educational opportunities for the advancement of the facility management profession. The foundation has been awarding facility management scholarships to deserving students for more than two decades to ensure the quality of the built environment in a changing world.

September 30, 2011 - IFMA Foundation Remembers Charlie Claar

IFMA members and staff were saddened to learn of the passing today of Charles N. Claar, CFM, CFMJ, PE, IFMA Fellow. Claar was an accomplished educator, engineer and IFMA statesman who devoted his professional life to engineering and facility management, serving these professions with distinction for more than 50 years.
