'Rock the Foundation' Tour

The 'Rock the Foundation' concept had its beginnings with the 2007 IFMA Foundation gala auctions at World Workplace where FM industry leaders were offered as speakers.  This resulted in the success of the California ‘Sustainability Mayday 2008’ and the ‘Rock the Foundation 2009’ tour covering Chicago, Boston, New York, Atlanta and Kuala Lumpur.  

A simple plan; provide a series of 'low cost, high value' industry presentations to raise the profile and funds necessary for the IFMA Foundation's education, research and scholarships activities in these tough times.  In addition, this initiative is a good news story for FM, reaching industry leaders, practitioners and students worldwide.  In the end it is all about doing something positive and investing in the future for our industry's capacity to be the foremost contributor to a more productive and sustainable Built Environment.

The 'Rock the Foundation 2010’ series made possible through the generous support of;

The ‘Rock the Foundation 2010’ tour has included multiple gigs covering Sydney, Singapore, Madrid, Atlanta, Houston and Chicago so far. 2010 speakers have included Stephen Ballesty, Dr. Jack Bacon, Caroline Burns, Matt Dawson, Kathy Roper and Shelia Sheridan.  Planning is well advanced for Shanghai and Hong Kong in September, and San Antonio and Los Angeles in October.  

You can download your own piece of 'Rock the Foundation' via free of charge.  However, if you REALLY want to 'Rock the Foundation' donations will be greatly appreciated as it allows the Foundation to continue its promotion and support of the FM industry through its work with course accreditation in higher education, research and scholarships.
Rock the Foundation hits Shanghai: The Workplace & FM Asia Summit 2010 will benefit the IFMA Foundation and to be held on September 9-10 in Shanghai.  The summit celebrates IFMA’s newest Chapter and brings together key decision makers from Asia’s growing FM community.  An all-star roster of speakers and panelists including IFMA President and CEO Tony Keane, IFMA Foundation Chairman Stephen Ballesty and others examine sustainable FM concepts and best practices - http://www.facilityone.cn/events/FM2010.
