Annual Scholarships
A one-time scholarship is an option that can be selected when a sponsor prefers to offer
a scholarship through the IFMA Foundation without committing
to the level of contributions required in establishing an endowed
scholarship fund. The minimum amount required to award a
one-time scholarship is $1,500 (US) as well as the costs associated
with sending the recipient to IFMA’s World Workplace (approximately $1,000).
The opportunities and requirements associated with sponsoring a one-time scholarship are as follows:
- The sponsor will determine the name of the scholarship.
- The IFMA Foundation will invoice the sponsor for the scholarship amount prior to WWP.
- Registration and all travel expenses for the students will be combined and divided by the total number of scholarships awarded, and all sponsors will pay the same amount.
The maximum a sponsor will pay is $1,000. The Foundation will assume all costs beyond the $1,000 cap.
- The student travel expenses will be billed subsequent to WWP.
All scholarship sponsors and recipients receive appropriate
recognition in IFMA publications, the IFMA Foundation web site
and through press releases to the general media and trade press. Scholarship sponsors become part of the overall program by participating
in the application review, scholarship recipient selection process and the scholarship awards program at WWP. |
